If you’re searching for a diversity trainer who gets students laughing, dancing and talking, then you should think about Stan Pearson.

From the hundreds of diversity trainers available to our agency, we chose Stan to join our roster because his keynotes are fun, inclusive and non-threatening. He helps students understand the opportunities that an inclusive community offers without making anyone feel blamed. In his keynotes and workshops, he helps students confront stereotypes and prejudices by emphasizing relationships, success, acceptance and celebration of campus community.

Stan is a great person to hire for orientation, staff training, multicultural awareness weeks and leadership conferences. His style is friendly and approachable, and as a former student affairs professional, he understands the challenges and opportunities of campus community building. Have him to campus once, and you’ll be booking him year after year, because your students will genuinely enjoy him.

He can even teach your students to salsa dance!

Stan is also a member of an NPHC organization, and is fluent in Spanish for campuses needing a positive keynote for Spanish-speaking audiences.

[The students] LOVED him... He was very accommodating as our students really warmed up to his Salsa dancing... and was able to weave that into his presentation, which the student organizers just rave about. He definitely met our expectations.

Just Because I Am, Doesn’t Mean That I’m…

In this powerful and enjoyable keynote, Stan helps students work through stereotypes, prejudices and all other “isms” that you usually don’t discuss in polite company. Every smiling face isn’t happy, and every lonely person is not completely alone. This is a diversity keynote for everyone because it touches on the wide diversity of life, lifestyles and personalities that make up our communities.

In this keynote, students learn how to work beyond preconceived ideas, how to relate through similarities and shared experiences, how to be less affected by words and how to remain strong in the face of community conflict. This is a perfect choice for new students or basic diversity programming.

No Chips with this Salsa

In what might be the most interactive self-esteem and communication workshop your students have ever seen, Stan gives participants a beginners lesson in the art of Salsa dancing. It’s the ultimate lesson in respect, non-verbal communication and self-confidence as students exercise their bodies and their brains. Looking for a different way to get students moving at orientation or at your next leadership conference? Stan teaches inclusion without egos, and confidence without conceit. No matter how extroverted or shy, students get a chance to step out and learn while having fun.

Diversity and Your First Year Experience

The issues surrounding diversity will affect you throughout college, and beyond. In this keynote, Stan helps new students understand what a diverse college community has to offer every person. Stan will paint a great picture for incoming students and help create positive campus morale from Day One. He helps them open their minds and their hearts to what diversity can mean to them, personally and help them understand the impact it will have on them in the years after college.

Stan's Bio

Stan has a BA in Spanish, and earned his MBA while working full time as a higher education administrator.

Called “not Black enough” by some friends and “too Black” by others, he learned important lessons about the importance of self-esteem around issues of identity at an early age. Today, Stan makes his living as a full-time corporate training consultant, but loves every opportunity he has to work with college students on issues of cultural appreciation. His ability to speak fluent Spanish, combined with his personal interest in Salsa dancing, have combined for many interesting opportunities to open the hearts and minds of students.

Stan is also a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
